Throwback Thursday - A 2012 A to Z Reflections Comment... #atozchallenge

On Monday, May 14, 2012, Tina Downey at Life is Good left on my A to Z Reflections Post but it got eaten by the Squarespace cyber wizards – a technical glitch that just didn’t let this one comment go through. Aren’t you all annoyed when that happens? I know I am, for sure.

Thankfully, Tina was kind and understanding enough to bring it to my attention and emailed her comment to me.

As I gear up to do my Reflections for this year’s A to Z Challenge, join me in taking a moment to highlight one of the comments of 2012 that made me smile and grateful to elicit such a response from one of the boldest people I’ve ever come to know -- all because of a typo on my end:

"This was one of the best reflections posts I've read so far. Your pain and passion and feelings rang loud and clear and true.  You persevered through quite a bit of challenges, and I admire you for that.  I'm really glad our paths have crossed and that you'll be a regular poster at the A-Z now.

It cracked me up that you called me Tiny instead of Tina.  There's kinda a history to that...used to be tiny, as in eating disorder.  Am now healthy, but a sturdy size 14, not a vanish-when-turned-sideways...but thanks for the mention.

I hear your frustration with visiting as encouraged and not having that returned.  I don't know if it was a pattern for all of us, my visitors certainly thinned out as well there at the end.  A month is a long time, and not everyone has the stamina.

Hugs,

Tina"

Stay tuned for the 2013 A to Z Challenge Reflections; Coming this weekend to a blog near you!

Coming soon to a blog near me? Looking forward to it!

And a lot of bloggers this year had challenges that prevented them from visiting other blogs, even though they signed up for and participated in the event. I'm one of them. It's been a challenging and difficult season for many of us.

Stephen,

What stands out are those who made it through the challenge as best as they could. The challenges that you and other bloggers faced were enough to cause discouragement, indeed, but the good news is at least you made sure that you kept trucking along when and where you could :)

I'm looking forward to reading the Reflections posts -- the list has just ballooned so fast, so early on that it might take me a week or two to get through them all...that's IF I can get through the entire list! That's the plan tho. Thank you for visiting, commenting and staying alive in this whirlwind of personal, technical and mental roadblocks that crept up in our way during April!

As always you came through the Challenge a champion. I look forward to reading your reflections post.

Arlee,

Thank you so much for inviting me to be on board with you as a Co-Host this year. I learned a lot about what it takes to put this thing on and manage it and as it grows, that is no easy feat. A few of the Reflections that I've read so far on other participants' blogs were so short and to the point that I want to aim for the brevity thing...just not sure if that is a possibility, given the structure and things that I want to address in the post including my Minion shout-outs...but a girl can dream! I sure do wish I felt like a champion these last few days. It's been quite a weekend, I tell ya!

I plan to post my Reflections this coming Wednesday, if all goes well.

I love the throwback! I did not even have my blog in 2012, so it's fun to get a little taste of what it was like. That's a great comment too. :)
