Movies to Watch on Halloween Part2

Up until October 31st, I will be listing some other scary horror or thriller movies to watch on Halloween. First, I mentioned the indie horror film Holla that is being distributed by Lionsgate, a major Hollywood distributor. Now let’s talk about the independent short film Broken by Alex Ferrari.

Yes, this is a short film that will not last longer than 30 minutes, if that. However, Broken by Alex Ferrari is on DVD and can be used as a primer to set the tone for your frightening evening. Roger Ebert likes this film that’s a good indication that Broken is a must-see, especially among movies to watch on Halloween. I saw this film at the Bare Bones Script 2 Screen Film Festival last year and would recommended for those of you looking for great suspense and a good scare on Halloween.

The film’s director, Alex Ferrari currently lives in Florida where Uptown Saturday Night is happening. What an exciting coincidence. Now getting to the story, Broken is about a woman who is abducted by a vicious stranger and later realizes that the answer to her survival can be found in a disturbing dream that she has been witnessing. I should have known that this movie was going to be crazy but was still surprised when it screened at the film festival. You don’t have to attend a festival to watch it because it’s available on DVD. It also comes with lots of fun special features to enjoy. This will hold you over while snacks are being prepared and decision are being made for the rest of your movies to watch on Halloween. Enjoy Broken!
