24 Collectible Figures of Jack Bauer and David Palmer
Two new and exclusive 2009 24 Collectible Action Figures were released this year and most units are already being restocked due to high demand. As a 24 fan, I was glad to notice how detailed and fresh these two new 24 Collectible figures are compared to the previously release Jack Bauer action figures. Still the older Jack Bauer action figures sold by Fox and other vendors do have lots of style and make great decorations for any 24 action figure collector. You don't even have to like 24...you could be a die-hard TV fan and enjoy these collectible figures. Here are some observations from my findings with these new 24 Collectible Figures:
(Compare this photo of the Real Jack Bauer/Kiefer Sutherland to the action figures)
Let's start with Jack Bauer. I thought the previously released 12 inch Jack Bauer action figures were badass but this 2009 collectible item takes the cake. Fresh out of 24 Season 7, the 1/6 scale Jack Bauer collectible figure comes packin' with a black bullet-proof vest, long sleeve blue shirt, black pants and black shoes. He is not playing games and the clothes are tailor made to fit this collectible figure. What I like most is the detailed design that gives off a realistic display of Jack Bauer features with hair, facial expressions and even a scruffy face.
I am a bit concerned about those eyes because this particular 24 Jack Bauer Collectible Figure looks like it's on drugs. Jack Bauer doesn't look like he's on drugs in most seasons of 24. Even when he is under some sort of substance or condition, his appearance seems more like the result of exhaustion than substance abuse. Maybe it's just the product photos or maybe it's the way this 24 action figure was designed but I would be hesitant to allow this new 2009 Jack Bauer figure to date any of my Barbie Dolls, lol. The 1/6 scale Jack Bauer Collectible Figure comes with Collectible Figure comes with a few accessories including watches, a compact hand gun, silencer, holster, flashlight, and messenger bag.
I like that messenger bag because it looks like something a computer nerd or college student would wear in real life. It also appears that the hand gun and all of those other Jack Bauer necessities can be placed in the messenger bag when they are not in use. The action figure looks like it can be posed to actually hold the gun and wear other accessories, which is really cool. The price tag on this 24 collectible item would make previous Jack Bauer dolls want to renegotiate their contract with manufacturers who produced them. Coming in at $199.99, the new 1/6 scale Jack Bauer action figure is nothing to sneeze at and let your kid siblings borrow for their daily G.I. Joe or Transformers imaginary battles either. Things from Another World has these 24 Jack Bauer Collectible Figures on sale for a lot cheaper than the average retail price.
The 1/6 scale President David Palmer Action Figure is one of the sexiest African-American themed dolls I have found. Maybe it's me being used to fashion dolls, but I have to stop calling it a "doll" now, since these 24 collectibles are not for kids. You guys may not view the David Palmer 24 Collectible Figure as sexy but it's something about the detailed design that just makes this action figure a must-buy item. Maybe it's that manly voice Dennis Haysbert sports while fighting bad guys in The Unit and in those Allstate Insurance commercials. He's so clean-cut and nice and chocolate. Hmmm....should we make him King Dong for the next month? We shall find out.
Let's move onto other 24 fan and action figure collector related observations,
Much like that 24 Jack Bauer item, the President David Palmer Action Figure looks very realistic. This collectible figure is more laid back than the Jack Bauer action figure with a tailored suit, striped blue shirt and red, white and blue tie to match. The President David Palmer Action Figure also wears a small U.S. Flag pin on the upper left side of his suit. He has a stern appearance, which does not differ much from that of other 24 staff members because they are always in the middle of some matter of breaches or threats to national security on 24. This President David Palmer Action Figure carries the same price tag at the Jack Bauer one.
Both of these 24 Collectibles make great gifts for yourself or other 24 Fans!

After much begging and pleading the wife finally broke down and purchased me a Locke figure from the TV show LOST. Locke is the man! He's currently holding down my cubicle at work, keeping sentry over the hatch and my computers.
You have a really cool wife! I didn't even know that there were figures for LOST. That is good news and it's nice that Locke is holding down your cubicle. At least you know someone has your back at work when the co-workers get boring.
I watched a few episodes of LOST and liked the show but the time slots of other favorite programs coupled with my own scheduling resulted in me skipping the program altogether. I'm still a LOST supporter though...just from a distance. I've got to catch up on all the newer episodes.
awesome looking pieces
