The State of King Dong and Leonardo DiCaprio Days of Summer #amblogging #amwriting

King Dong,Actors

In July, I sent out a call for nominations and votes on men who are fit to succeed actor Leonardo DiCaprio on the throne during the month of August in my King Dong series here on this blog. I nominated three guys including Ron Weasley (played by Rupert Grint in the Harry Potter films), Ryan Gosling and Ben Affleck and Herman Turnip of Terrible Analogies placed Jason Statham, Denzel Washington and Jude Law in the running to be King Dong of August.

Since no one else voted for his or her own selections or added a vote to any of the six people that we nominated, the person highlighted this month will be chosen at random. Here's how we'll also keep the series up to date....sorta....so there won't be any missing months (August & September) this year after King Dong relaunched during Arlee Bird's A to Z Challenge.

Despite the fact that he is not exactly everybody’s actor of choice, Leonardo DiCaprio is officially the King Dong of Summer 2011 since he was the most recent one to be crowned and reigned for so long. The King Dong of October will be revealed this week after I log the names into Random.org’s list randomizer and find out who I will be blogging about for the next couple of weeks.

Until then, I hope everyone is having an entertaining Columbus day weekend!

The suspense, as well as my love of fatty foods, is killing me!

I wish I had three days off this weekend, but alas I'll be stuck in my cubicle Monday morning. Here's hoping that you got that extra day off of work this week!
